Means I am a 'Woman Of A Certain Age.' {I'm not Southern, but I love that custom, so I use it, anyway!} And I have been and intend to keep on... just enjoying every minute I still have.

Yes, we all get old. Might as well come to terms with that, quite soon in the process. The process isn't going to slow down. Better be prepared to enjoy all we can, at every age.

Love you for doing these posts! You, who are still really young. Love you for being so wise, so soon. It's very nice for we 'Ladies of a Certain Age,' to read such!!! :-)

Miss Mari-Nanci
Smilnsigh
Photos-City-Mine
When Twilight Embracessmilnsighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17207943167502354530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7636483498633999907.post-84239333337731460482008-07-18T12:52:00.000-05:002008-07-18T12:52:00.000-05:00morning glory...you just inspired my next post..hm...morning glory...you just inspired my next post..hmmmmEvehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10525022534268765494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7636483498633999907.post-14581204752527065282008-07-18T11:06:00.000-05:002008-07-18T11:06:00.000-05:00Eve, I enjoyed your post. Thank you for presenting another point of view. We can and do live simply for the most part but we must have health insurance and so we work.

Mostly I'm thankful to God for bringing enjoyable jobs to us, but there are days I'd love to sit like the lady in your photo and not HAVE to go to work (and I do have that privilege in the summer b/c I am a teacher).

I'd sit and knit and read all day. I realize that not all older people are happy in their jobs but then again, neither are all young happy with theirs. I don't think age has a lot to do with that. Lots of paintings and everything else called art. We even bought one once--a watercolor sofa-sized painting of flowers, pond and a meadow. Very pastoral.

Hate to be disagreeable but I think of lot of seniors DO have to go back to work to make ends meet. Says so in my AARP magazine and I see them as greeters in my local grocery store. I'm not that sure they're happy in this new career.

I wouldn't mind being young again too. Afternoon Tea is one of my fav meals as it is not a necessity- you just have the strawberries and scones with a pot of tea simply because you feel like it. A spot of decadence in a busy world. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
